ABOUT US
Our vision at Human Movements Fitness Centre is
"THE GYM WHERE EVERYONE FITS IN" - We truly live and breathe this vision
We set up Human Movements over thirty five years ago, as one of the first community gyms in Palmerston North, with some of our members being with us for the whole duration of this time. We are very experienced educators in fitness at an individual level, with a commitment to helping our members achieve their personal fitness goals.
Teaching you through individual programs, and combing nutritional education are our skill sets to help you achieve your personal health and fitness goals.
For us, everyone means everyone. Gender, age and ability make you individual, and a huge part of our focus
when setting a fitness program for you are the individual factors.
Where you start is not as important as where you want to go! And where you start is not as important as making a start!
Our drive and enthusiasm is to see you making improvements, one step at a time, and that you enjoy the journey!
We have a diverse member base of senior citizens, our members with disabilities and special needs, our members participating in bodybuilding and pole fitness, people training towards competitive sporting events, and people training for general health and well being. With our approach to the individual, and this diversity across our members, is what makes our gym personal for everyone. You will walk into our gym and feel comfortable to train in environment that is friendly and welcoming.
We both come from a sporting background, and have dedicated many years to running NABBA NZ, a bodybuilding association running events throughout New Zealand over the past 30 years. Another passion we hold close to our hearts is the Special Olympics Manawatu Powerlifting, which we have been coaching and running events for, over the past 30 years. Over the years we have supported many members to compete at different levels in their chosen sports.
We have a large gym facility, offering a spacious training environment. Gyms are often in compact spaces, but in our gym you have plenty of personal space when training. You will find all gyms have their own unique 'çulture' - We pride ourselves on having a welcoming friendly gym environment. We love that we have a gym where such a diverse mix of people from our community feel comfortable to train, and we are passionate about all our clients being supported in their training goals and feeling like our gym, is your gym. We welcome you to call in and have a chat with us, about how we can help you.
We invite you to have a look around our facility and just feel what makes our gym culture the right gym for you.
